The Government will deliver the supplementary State budget for this year on June 12 at the Assembly of the Republic, according to information provided by “Público” and confirmed by “Jornal Económico”. Although António Costa's executive will meet in the Council of Ministers on June 9th, the document should not enter Parliament until two days later, due to the holidays of June 10th and 11th.

The discussion of the supplementary budget is scheduled for June 19, the discussion in general, and, according to the spokeswoman for the conference of leaders, Maria da Luz Rosinha, the date for the global final vote on the document, which will depend on the way the work in the specialty is carried out, although it is the intention of the Government to be scheduled for the "beginning of July", with the debate on the State of the Nation scheduled for July 22.

At the last conference of leaders on May 27, the Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Duarte Cordeiro, clarified the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, and the other parliamentary groups that there would be a “meeting of the Council of Ministers on the same day June 9, precisely to approve ”the document that would be sent to Parliament. However, he added that "formally, it should only be admitted to the Assembly of the Republic (AR) on June 12".

Duarte Cordeiro also noted that due to the "urgency" in the approval of the Supplementary Budget, he discussed with the President of the Budget and Finance Commission (COF) the timing of the proposal, "requesting that his appreciation in the HR should not exceed two weeks".

He also defended that "it would be important to limit the hearings to the Minister of State and Finance and to the Minister of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security", recalling that "in the past, amendments were made in which there were not even hearings".
